DAY 26: Most OMGWTF? season finale
I'm going to go with What Kind of Day Has It Been, the first season finale for the West Wing. There is a fine, fine crafting of a suspenseful episode, alluding to what the cliffhanger will be in the first few minutes, only to make you sit through a relentlessly normal episode where you have an idea of what's coming but none of the characters do. And then having the fade out and credit begin to roll over someone asking, "Who's been hit?" Damn. That's how you do a cliffhanger with class.
DAY 27: Best pilot episode
I love pilots. I know they're generally considered terrible, but I love 'em. Everything is shiny and new! A whole new world is opened up, and I just get given a little peak! For sheer kick-you-in-the-teeth world-building, I would want to say Serenity (Firefly) or 33 (Battlestar Galactica), though the latter is a little cheating since it was preceded by a whole miniseries and if I was allowed to nominate things like that I'd actually want to pick The Eleventh Hour (of the latest season of Doctor Who) which has to do much of the same sort of pilot-y heavy-lifting since it's intro-ing a new Doctor and a new companion and manages to be hilarious and exciting and dramatic and intriguing all at once.
DAY 28: First TV show obsession
I think I mentioned earlier that I really, really liked Ghostwriter? So that's a pretty solid pick still. Contemporaneously, I was also obsessed with Captain Planet and Mathnet. I was definitely a capital-F Fan from an early age.
