GUILTY CONFESSION TIME: I did not watch Heroes last year. In fact, I have still not watched Heroes s.1. But I have been watching s.2, and...

And I kinda like it? I do. I realize I am an enlightened, uninformed boob when it comes to this show, but I find it entertaining.

The thing is that everyone keeps saying s.2 sucks. Can you explain to me why? Is it the sort of difference that will mean that I, a person who likes s.2, will not enjoy s.1? Will I enjoy s.1 even more because it is one hundred times better? If I'm enjoying s.2, should I avoid watching s.1 out of fear that it will ruin s.2 for me? etc. etc.

(i'm basically trying to decide if i want to buy the damn thing, you see; any guidance you can give would be appreciated!)
